Biography

Mazen Khatib represents working men and women and zealously fights for his client's rights. Mazen's practice focuses on claims of employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. He also represents people who have been denied wages, meal and rest breaks, medical leave, and safe working environments.

Mazen has experience representing employees and employers, putting him in a unique position to understand the idiosyncrasies of employment litigation. This experience gives Mazen insight into the strategic thinking and decision-making of employers. Mazen leverages these dynamics to his clients' benefit.

Mazen achieves successful resolution of his clients' claims by using all the legal tools at his disposal. Mazen has defeated numerous employer motions for summary judgment. Mazen has utilized the discovery process to compel employers to produce "smoking-gun" documentary evidence. He has taken depositions of several high-level executives who engaged in misconduct towards employees. Mazen has also prepared cases for trial. These actions facilitated successful resolution of lawsuits on behalf of Mazen's clients.

Mazen earned his J.D. locally from Loyola Law School. While in law school, Mazen competed in the Scott Moot Court competition against over fifty participants and reached the finals of the competition where he was awarded "Best Oralist." Mazen also represented Loyola in the National Moot Court competition competing against teams from other law schools.

Mazen is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association, the California Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association and other legal organizations.

Mazen enjoys spending time with his family and playing and watching basketball.
